DinDin is an urban artist based in Belgium. With roots in the 1980's graffiti scene, she produces diverse artwork using stencils, handpainted wheat pastes and freehand spray paints.
Stencils are a popular technique used in graffiti and street art worldwide. This method provides the possibility to reproduce and is comparable to screen printing.
Over time DinDin's multi-layered stencils, all hand drawn and hand cut, evolved to a remarkable and recognisable style. They often reflect social and societal topics, possibly interspered with idealism and dualism. They can elicit a story from the beholder, different for each person but always equal.
